Join The Prayer Team

Become part of the U.S. Missions prayer team! As a prayer partner, you join with hundreds of believers like you across the nation lifting up our missionaries, chaplains, their families, and their teams in prayer on a weekly basis. When you give us your e-mail address, you will receive a weekly e-mail of prayer requests submitted to us by our team. (No worries; we won’t use your e-mail address for anything other than this list!)

In addition to the weekly e-mail, you can also find this list at our Facebook page and in the 714 Prayer app (available for iPhone and Android).

Be sure you check out our Missionary and Chaplain Prayer Guide. The prayer guide is constantly updated as we add new missionaries and chaplains. Every day it highlights the missionary, chaplain, and spouse who’s having a birthday that day. You can search for a specific missionary or chaplain, or search by day, week, or month. What better way to remember to pray for our missionaries and chaplains than on their birthday!

Prayer requests for this week . . .

Updated October 23, 2017
  1. Pray for U.S. missionaries ministering to the Greek community in the United States. Ask God to give wisdom and guidance as they share about Jesus. Pray for God’s favor in translating the Fire Bible into Greek.

  2. Continue to pray for U.S. missionaries who equip students to share about Jesus in their high schools. Ask God for favor with school administrators and great partnerships with local youth pastors. Pray for students who want to start clubs in their schools, and for teachers who are willing to sponsor them, as this must often be done on an already busy teacher’s own time.

  3. Pray for U.S. missionaries who encourage and share Christ with their refugee neighbors. Ask God to open doors as they help with practical needs. Pray for anointing as they teach English as a Second Language classes.

  4. Ask God for a healing touch for a U.S. missionary who has been suffering from kidney stones. Pray for good health and freedom from pain.

  5. Pray for a U.S. Missions staff member who recently fractured her elbow. Ask God for quick and thorough healing and relief from pain.

  6. Continue to pray for Malcolm Burleigh as he begins his duties as executive director of U.S. Missions. Ask God for strength and guidance for Malcolm and his family. Also, continue to pray for Zollie and Phyllis Smith as they prepare to sell their house and relocate for retirement and their new journey in ministry.

  7. Pray for a U.S. missionary as she battles leukemia. God is opening doors for her to assist churches in starting ministry to widows, and she needs special strength as her body is tired from her treatments.

  8. Pray for a U.S. missionary as she shares in churches to increase awareness of mental health issues. Ask God for guidance as she reaches out to people who have lost loved ones to suicide.
