Position title: Outreach Assistant
Job description: Assist staff outreach coordinator to schedule
ministry teams and take the ministry teams to churches, park outreaches
and high schools. Train the ministry teams in songs, drama, and
testimonies. Finalize outreach details with local pastors and
schools. Be prepared to minister to all age groups in song, drama,
sermons and prayer. Biblical counseling opportunities available.
Teach group studies for new Christians (GSNC) classes to induction center students on a daily/weekly basis.
Lead student ministry team as they travel on Sundays and other days to area churches to minister through song, testimony and drama. Practice with them as needed. Teach new songs, how to harmonize and sing on key. Keep track of their choir shirts, wash them, oversee ironing of them and having students sign shirts in and out. Help with school assemblies of “Stay Sharp” drug prevention and intervention services.
Answer phones, help events coordinator with paperwork, make packets, make copies, send out mailing, take messages and route calls, filing, greet visitors, miscellaneous duties as assigned by events coordinator.
Assist in fund-raising activities for the center to raise funds, store-front, goods in kind donations, help with event planning and coordination, do phone-a-thon, do car washes and any other fund-raising activities.
Cook for induction center students and large groups of people for banquets and fund-raising events
