Prayer Requests for Thursday, July 3, 2008
1. Alvin is a young man and a new believer. He declined to join a gang and was beaten severely. He has internal bleeding and one of his eyes is unable to be salvaged. Doctors believe his chances of survival are very low. Pray for Alvin’s healing and for comfort for his family. They recently lost another child due to a drowning accident.
2. Shirley was rear ended in a car accident. Her car was totaled and she is experiencing pain and soreness from the accident.
3. Doug is losing spinal fluid out of his nose. Doctors are running tests to determine the cause.
4. A young Christian woman, Mariuxi, is having mental problems. Pray for her healing and pray for her mother’s salvation.
5. Austin, eight months old, has a stomach virus. He is also having trouble keeping food down and will have surgery on July 7 to correct this problem. Pray that the surgery will fix his problems. Pray for his parents, Matt and Anna Marie, that God would give them strength to get through this challenging time.
6. Nikki is in the midst of a tremendous physical battle. She is undergoing more tests and surgery for what the doctors have labeled ovarian cancer. She is trusting the Lord for her health to be fully restored and God's preparation in each step in this battle.
7. Pray for safe travels and relaxing times with friends and family for our U.S. missionaries and staff members this holiday weekend.
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance” (Psalm 33:12, NIV).
