“Youth Alive believes the greatest injustice is for anyone to live and die without the opportunity to know Jesus. ‘But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.’” (John 1:12, ESV) —Kent Hulbert, Youth Alive coordinator
The middle school and high school campus is still one of the most strategic missions fields in the United States. Nearly eight of every ten decisions for Christ will be made by those under the age of eighteen. More than 98 percent of the American population will pass through at least one of the sixty-seven thousand junior high and high schools in the nation. There is no better place in America to reach the largest group of unreached students and their families in one place and at one time.
Youth Alive missionaries equip students to reach students for Christ. Their goal is to know God and to make Him known. Youth Alive partners with churches to connect them to schools in their communities. Students in Youth Alive are a great bridge between the local church and the local schools.
Through Youth Alive, students understand that they don’t have to wait until they’re grown up to reach others with the gospel. Sharing God’s love starts now. Youth Alive is more than a program—it can be ingrained into the culture of what a youth group does.
