As senior director for Chi Alpha Campus Ministries, U.S.A., E. Scott Martin oversees and develops the ministry of Chi Alpha around the United States and assists in planting Chi Alpha campus groups internationally.
Prior to coming to the national Chi Alpha office, Scott was involved in campus ministry from his days in college at the University of Arizona. While attending school, he planted the first Chi Alpha campus group at the university, eventually becoming the district Chi Alpha director for the Arizona district.
Scott and his wife, Crystal, made the move to Springfield, Missouri, to become part of the national Chi Alpha team. They eventually moved overseas to Central Asia to minister there for two years. When they came back to the States, Scott became the XA missions director before becoming the Chi Alpha senior director in 2014.
Scott and Crystal were part of creating The World Missions Summit (TWMS) in partnership with AG World Missions. This event gives college students the opportunity to see the possibilities for ministry around the world. His common phrase, “Every student goes, every student gives, every student prays, and every student welcomes,” is the heartbeat of Chi Alpha.
In his spare time, Scott enjoys all types of athletics, especially football and baseball, and the University of Arizona athletics. He is an avid hunter who enjoys shooting and fishing. He and their two sons, Mercer and Marcus, work a ranch outside Springfield.
